Terms of use
Version 1, in force since 15 September 2026.
What this platform is
Prospec is a specification and sourcing platform for façade systems. Architects and specifiers use it to find products and send enquiries; suppliers use it to publish listings and respond.
We are not a party to any transaction. When a specifier accepts a quote, the resulting contract is between them and the supplier. We do not take commission, hold funds, or act as agent for either side. We make no warranty about any product, price, lead time or claim published by a supplier.
Accounts
You need an account to send an enquiry or publish a listing. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to it.
Accounts belong to people, not to companies. If you leave an organisation, your access to that organisation's workspace ends; your account does not.
What suppliers publish
A supplier is responsible for the accuracy of everything on its listing — technical performance, certifications, availability and imagery. Publishing something you do not have the right to publish, or a performance claim you cannot evidence, is a breach of these terms.
We review listings and material changes to them before they go live. That review is a sanity check, not verification: it does not make a claim true, and it does not transfer responsibility for it to us.
Enquiries and quotes
An enquiry is a request for information. A quote is an offer from a supplier, valid until the date it states. Accepting a quote through the platform records that acceptance and notifies the other suppliers; it does not itself form a contract unless you and the supplier intend it to.
Subscriptions
Supplier subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund part-periods except where the law requires it.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape the directory, misrepresent who you are, send enquiries you have no intention of pursuing, or use another company's name or marks without permission. We may suspend an account that does.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profit, contracts, or data, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
We keep every version of these terms. When they change materially we will say so before the new version takes effect, and the version in force when you agreed is the one that applied to you.
